Providing ATIS solutions since 1984, Ontira has developed a deep understanding of the unique needs and challenges in transit communications. We combine innovative applications with a range of media to deliver traveler information anytime, any place. Our advanced media options include Interactive Voice Response (IVR), Automated Speech Recognition (ASR), Internet, kiosk, variable message signage and wireless applications.
Ontira’s first major project was a multimedia, multimodal information system for the 1986 World Exposition in Vancouver, Canada. Today, Ontira has over 60 installations across North America and Australia, including systems for public transit agencies in Austin, Boston, Dallas, Detroit, Las Vegas, New Orleans, Philadelphia, San Diego, Seattle, and Toronto.
