RouteMatch and Ontira Announce Alliance to Distribute Interactive Voice Response Solution
Vancouver, BC - February 28, 2007 - RouteMatch Software Inc. and Ontira Communications Inc. (OCI©) announce they have formed a strategic alliance for the distribution of Interactive Voice Response (IVR) solutions for the paratransit industry. Under terms of the alliance, effective February 1, 2007, RouteMatch will distribute Ontira’s HandyLine solution, which provides paratransit riders the convenience of 24-hour access to automated ride information.
Ontira’s HandyLine IVR automates many of the routine ride inquiries normally handled by transit agency service representatives. This allows more callers to be served at a reduced cost to the agency and without the need to increase staff. Using touch-tone commands or Automated Speech Recognition (ASR), customers can perform a variety of tasks via telephone, such as confirming or cancelling scheduled trips, booking new trips, obtaining account information, and providing agencies with feedback about their services. HandyLine also enables customers to register for and receive automated trip notifications and dial-out messaging.
