Ontira Expands Sales & Marketing Team
VANCOUVER, BC - March 6, 2006 - Ontira Communications, a leading provider of Automated Traveler Information Systems (ATIS), announces the addition of two new employees, Juha Makikalli and Heather Liau, to its sales and marketing team.
“We are extremely excited and pleased to have two people with Heather and Juha’s abilities join our sales and marketing team. Their skills and energies will further fuel Ontira continued growth,” said Gerard Kirchtag, Ontira’s Sales and Marketing Manager.
As Account Manager, Juha Makikalli will be responsible for driving sales and expanding Ontira’s presence in eastern United States and Canada. Juha is a business professional with account management, business development, and marketing and sales experience spanning over sixteen years across multiple industries. Over the last four years, Juha has collaborated with Ontira and other transit industry vendors to provide innovative traveler information solutions.
Heather Liau joins Ontira’s team as the Marketing and Communications Coordinator. She will lead Ontira’s marketing efforts and provide support to the sales team, as the company continues to strengthen its position in the ATIS industry. In her previous experience, Heather's marketing initiatives have brought international attention to British Columbia's technology industry, through her work with New Media BC and management of business partnering at the Vancouver International Digital Festival. She has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia.
