Ontira's TripFinder Now Running in the Triangle Region
VANCOUVER, BC - Today, the Triangle Transit Authority (TTA) of North Carolina launched www.gotriangle.org, a dynamic trip planning site powered by Ontira's TripFinder software. This web site integrates transit information provided by Capital Area Transit (CAT), Chapel Hill Transit (CHT), Durham Area Transit Authority (DATA), and Triangle Transit Authority (TTA).
Riders now visit one web site to plan trips throughout Durham, Orange and Wake Counties. TripFinder users enter the trip origin and destination by typing an address, intersection, or landmark, by selecting a stop from a list, or by clicking an interactive map. Once users adjust the date and time of the trip, TripFinder does the rest.
TripFinder quickly returns detailed trip plans to users. Trip plans include the length of the suggested trips, transfer locations and times, fares, route maps, and walking directions.
Customer service agents now use TripFinder's Customer Service Module to provide information over the phone in four distributed call centers. Agents use TripFinder to provide trip plans to callers, search for stops, search for routes, and retrieve detailed schedule information not available to the general public.
Ontira Communications customized, installed, and tested the TripFinder system. TripFinder includes Novo's mTravel™ software.
TTA (www.ridetta.org) is a regional public transportation provider, offering a wide variety of transit services to North Carolina's greater Triangle Region and outlying counties. Ontira Communications (www.ontira.com) has been providing multimedia information solutions to transit companies across North America since 1984.
